Shadow Box Key Holder

Shadow Box Key Holder!

So today I went to Hobby Lobby and took advantage of their sale!! :) I have been seeing things like this on Pinterest and have been wanting one of my own!

I found the Shadow Box and The Letters "F" at Hobby Lobby 50% off!! The box ended up costing about $2 and the letters were under $1 each. I already had the hooks, ribbon, flowers, and sponge brushes...And the paint came from Walmart for about $1 each

I painted the box Silver and the letters Navy Blue and Lime Green (Our Wedding Colors)

While they were drying I cut flowers and got the ribbon ready...I hot glued the smaller curly "F" to the Navy Blue "F" and glued them to the back of the box and glued the flowers and ribbon to the bottom . You can use just about anything in your box that you like...I used the Green Hydrangeas because those are our Wedding Flowers..

I screwed the hooks in the bottom and one on the top to put a ribbon hanger on. Tied my bow and I was done. Must Say...I am happy with the way it turned out!!

Birthday Boy

Well...Last week my Baby Boy turned 8. I cannot believe how fast time has flown by. I am so blessed...He is smart, funny, and overall amazing. He has such an amazing personality.

Valentines Day!!!

I hope all of you Lovely Ladies have had a wonderful Valentines Day. Since my Hunny and I work opposite shifts, he woke up early and woke me up with some potted Tulips, (I never saw the point in killing beautiful flowers by chopping them off the plant!!) a new James Avery Charm for my bracelet and a beautiful card that had me smiling all day!!!

I am so happy for my beautiful gifts....Especially my Charm. I asked for a Charm Bracelet for Christmas...My Hunny was sweet enough to get me a James Avery Charm Bracelet...So, It should make it easy for him on Holidays!

Pin-Mania Monday

Okay. So I guess if Pinterest opened in March 2010, I am just a little behind! :) But...I can tell that it has become more popular within just the last month that I have been a member. This place is beyond AMAZING!! Since becoming a member I have collected Boards that have helped me plan my wedding, my kids birthday parties, a DIY list of things, and Recipes that would knock your socks off...I thought I'd take some time to share a few of my favorite Pins!!! :)

This TuTu Dress is the cutest thing I have seen in a good while...Well...Just happens that my wedding colors are Navy and Lime...and how easy is it to throw some Peacock Feathers in there.

We went to Central Market...And it being my 1st time...WOW! That place is nice. I wish I had the money to be able to buy all of my groceries from there. Well I did get suckered into their $12/lb Shrimp. So, I got a pound of shrimp cocktail, and uncooked shrimp.
I cooked the Roasted Lemon Garlic Herb Shrimp, and LOVED IT!!! Yum! :) Especially over some Angle Hair Pasta!
Okay, So this is easy enough! After using the Chives off of your Green Onions, save them and place them in a glass of water. Set them in a sunny place like a table or window.  I've cut and regrown mine at least twice each!

First Post

It's been a while, well YEARS, since I blogged last.. Life just seemed to take over and the last thing I had time to do was sit on the computer, even though it probably would have been good for me! The next chapter in my life is starting...A wonderful career, 2 beautiful kids, and a soon-to-be hubby. With all the Pinning, Blog Hopping and Web Searching, I need an outlet.

The New Year has started off as a good one...This year I feel is going to be a big turning point in my life. Being 25 years old I feel myself (slowly..hehe) starting to mature...I have always been very crafty and love everything DIY, but Mentally and Physically I feel some changes happening within myself that have me pretty excited.

With an awesome new career, which I seem to be doing wonderful at, and a Hubby-To-Be, and everything in my future that I am pushing towards I have come up with a few things that I would like to get through this year:

1.) Church: AT LEAST every Sunday, and work on becoming a part of my church by doing bible studies, other events besides just Sunday Morning

2.) Time for a Switch: teeny-bopper way of dressing for a new fashionista style. I have found myself slowly swaying towards these new, classy, and mature styles in stores, I think it's time to UPGRADE! :)

3.) Wifey: To do my best at being the most wonderful Wife to my H2B. Work hard at work, and harder at home..and to not be a statistic!!!

4.) Wedding Planner: Oh Goodness...Is this Planning going to run me ragged!! That's definitely going to have to be something that I get through!

5.) Catch Up: All my Crocheting, DIY, Scrapbooking, Gardening...ya know..the fun stuff! :)

Well...With that said. I am glad to share my adventures with anyone willing to be there! I wish you Luck and Joy in 2012...
